USD Somnia USDSO

USDso is Somnia’s native ecosystem stablecoin, issued and operated by Frax through its frxUSD infrastructure. It is designed to provide a stable dollar-denominated settlement asset for activity across the Somnia network, including DeFi protocols, trading venues, liquidity markets, lending applications, payments, and agentic onchain transactions. USDso is backed through Frax’s reserve infrastructure, which includes short-duration USD assets such as U.S. Treasury Bills held with regulated custodians. Minting and redemption are handled by Frax, while USDso’s ecosystem framework allows reserve yield generated from approved protocol usage to be allocated back to participating Somnia protocols, liquidity providers, and ecosystem infrastructure.
