Kuro ($KURO) is a community-driven memecoin centered around Kuro, a cat character created by the artist behind the TOSHI meme. The project was created following the artist’s experience working on TOSHI, where he states that he did not receive the compensation he had been promised and that tokens intended for him were sent to another wallet. Kuro represents the artist’s decision to create an independent project built around his own character, artwork and creative direction. $KURO is primarily focused on meme culture, community participation and the continued development of the Kuro character and its creative ecosystem.
